The Australasian Equine Science Symposium provides an opportunity for equine researchers to present the findings of their work in a collegial environment. Researchers come from a varied background with many from Australian and New Zealand Universities. International participants at previous symposia have come from Europe and North America. The conference provides undergraduate, postgraduate students and postdoctoral researchers with the opportunity to present their projects in a supportive group of equine science enthusiasts. The symposium showcases the diversity of Australasian equine research.
The inaugural symposium was the brainchild of Professor Wayne Bryden who has driven all 5 subsequent meetings with the prevailing aim of disseminating the excellent equine research that occurs in Australasia and beyond. The meeting attracts a diverse group of people from the equine industries.
